Branding: Brand Beyond the Logo
Category : Business Branding
What are your thoughts about – brand and logo?
Many people even professionals believe that these two words stand for the same thing.
Brand and logo are so closely linked together, that it is always thought – a logo is the brand of so and so company. But, a logo is just one aspect of branding. Your brand is much more than only your logo. After all, branding is actually possible without a logo.
Brand is not any magic wand; instead it is gained with time and experience by stepping forward in the right direction.
As it is repeatedly said, customer is king. So with that in mind – the most innovative logo with attractive colors and fabulous design is simply ineffective for you, if you don’t excel customer satisfaction. So, it is extremely important to remember that the world’s best logo will do no good, if you don’t offer excellent service.
There are many ways to stand out of crowd – it could be with admirable services, creative product, innovative marketing strategy, business promptness, attractive tag line or slogan and this list goes on and on. Each one of these factor determines your brand. Did you mark that brand is actually much more than just a corporate logo?
A true brand adds value to every service/product you offer. It occupies a special position in the mind and hearts of your prospects. In order to build a strong brand, you have to identify what your business stands for along with your unique services and satisfaction to your customers.
So, does that mean your business doesn’t at all need a logo?
No, here in this post I want to convey the clear message that a business can be successful and build its own brand without a logo. But, if wish to relate your business with a graphical image – logo, then you can go for it as well.
When do you need a logo?
That’s a good point; let me make it easy for you. Answer these questions and you’ll know exactly when to get a corporate logo.
- Do you know what makes your business unique, completely different from your competitors?
- Do you know who are your prospects, how to approach them?
- Do you have the ability to convince your prospects?
Now if you answered yes to all three questions, then YES, it is the right time.
Let me say it once again, building a brand takes considerations all the points mentioned in this post. It does not focus only on logo designing or developing a familiar consumer graphic image. Branding and reputation is the lifeblood of your online business, so think about it seriously.
