In my previous post of this sequence, I’ve shared some of the most common seo mistakes. A successful seo campaign must keep an eye on such silly mistakes that might spin the whole picture and land you nowhere.

This is the continual part of that post and here I am going to discuss 5 more seo mistakes. So let’s jump into it quickly, without wasting any time, here is the list:

Image headline – A headline in image format may look fancy for human eye, but it is not readable by web crawlers. If you don’t make your web page search engine friendly then you’re actually minimizing the chances of discovering via search results. If you cannot compromise with image headline, include an alt attribute. In fact, headlines are the essence of any webpage, blog post or article, H1 tag is one of the most important tags, search engines gives more value to the text that have H1 tag. So, it is highly recommended to use it.

Ignoring the power of URLs – It is said that a correct form of url is a powerful tool. Search engine friendly urls contributes to higher ranking, so always try to make them short and easy to remember. Static url is considered better than dynamic url in terms of search engines.

Duplicate content – This could create a big problem and hurt your site badly. You could land in trouble when you have same content on two different pages. It is commonly known as duplicate content and it has a negative impact.

Canonical issues – If your website has canonical problem, i.e. www.yourwebsite.com and the same page opens with a different url say www.yourwesite.com/index or yourwebsite.com (without www) then search engines consider these as two different pages. So, revolve this problem and remove canonical issues.

Not investing in website promotion – Even if you have invested thousands of dollars for designing your dream website, but you don’t promote it, thinking that your site have a perfect look and feel and people will be magnetized, now let me tell you that this will not help and you’ll only get very few visitors to your site. So make sure to invest your time in promoting your site and if you don’t know how, then seek a professional advice. There are several options to look into like creating a blog, participating in forums, getting quality backlinks, etc.
